Statewide Text and Email Scams Continue
With the advent of advanced fraud detection and mitigation technology introduced across digital platforms as well as debit cards, fraudsters have returned to classic text, email, and impersonation scams.
Currently, this is taking the form of texts and e-messages related to EZ Drive and E-Pay notices. As seen on CBS News, NBC Boston, and WCVB, these scams are widespread, common, and do not have anything to do specifically with North Easton Savings Bank.
Do not click on any links or reply to these fraudulent messages. Please contact your service providers directly if you have any questions or receive suspicious looking messages, links, or requests. Recipients are urged to file complaints with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, including the phone number where the text originated and the website listed in the text. Any texts received should also be deleted.
To help secure your North Easton Savings Bank accounts, be sure to have activated transaction alerts, utilize card controls, and for our commercial partners – leverage the power of Positive Pay.
